PROJECT TITLE
MonitorMe
PROJECT GOAL: MonitorMe affordably monitors important vital signs such as heart rate and temperature for low-income communities lacking access to doctors to bridge gaps in healthcare, wealth, and racial inequities.
MonitorMe is a portable, low-cost health monitor that benefits low-income communities who have less access to doctors due to lack of healthcare and also acts as a personal device such as for those who are wary to leave their house (due to COVID-19). MonitorMe streamlines the process of diagnosis by providing specific health information — BPM and temperature — in an easy-to-read manner that can be communicated to a doctor or recorded for tracking purposes. It reduces time and money spent at the doctor’s office with also components to increase accessibility to the visually or hearing impaired.
